  • Florida International University's Environmental Studies Department offers FIVE scholarships at $24,000 per student over four years of college to qualified students to pursue a BA or BS in Environmental Studies with a focus on Agroecology. The scholarship will begin in the Fall 2009.

  • Eligibility: minority students and students of multi-cultural background are preferred; highschool cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.7 and a combined SAT score of 1800 (under the new system).
  • Interested high school seniors may send their application packet with the following documents:
    -A cover letter
    -A 500 word statement of intent explaining why you are interested in this scholarship (make sure to include any prior experience in food and agricultue science)
    -Two letters of recommendation
    -A copy of your high school transrcipt
