

AGROECOLOGY
INTERNSHIP
WHO CAN APPLY: Open to students in any FIU academic program.
Minority students are preferred.
The paid internship supports students research
activities on topics ranging from
agroecology, sustainable food production, community-supported
agriculture,
natural resource management in agriculture, and agricultural policies
and trade.
A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Up to $1,500 is available per
student.
REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates are required to submit
a report after completion of their
study and make a presentation at the annual agroecology workshop
at FIU. Students enrolled in the Agroecology Certificate have
preference.
APPLICATION: Students can apply by writing a one-page research
or study proposal, budget,
and their career goals. Please attach a resume, FIU transcript,
and a letter of recommendation from your major advisor to your
application. Applications should be submitted to the email addresses
below by December 31st, 2008.
