Dr. Craig Wilson, Director USDA/HSINP Future Scientists Program & Senior Research Associate, Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE) College of Science, Texas A&M University, will talk with students about working for the USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) and give points on how to get the USDA internship. This informal discussion will be held at the FIU Organic Garden from 12-1pm. Please share the attached invitation with those who may be interested

The Coral Park Elementary Pre-K and Kindergartners will be divided by class and visit various zones of the garden. The students will engage in 9 different sections of the garden, including: learning to sow seeds in the shadehouse, transplanting tomatoes in the plots, learning about herbs and fruit tress productions, aquaponics, pollination and honey production, the socio-economics of banana production, and painting an agroecological mural.
