Assisted in locating and identifying the trees within the I-95 Express in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Incorporated TerraSync and ArcPad.

Intern. Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve (DEP). Miami, FL. August, 2012-August 2013
Assisted with surveys of aquatic fauna and flora in Biscayne Bay. Worked on projects like Adopt-An-Island, Baynanza 2013, and other outreach and educational programs. Created a seining identification field sheet for abundant flora and fauna in Biscayne Bay. This seining sheet can be used during fieldwork as well as outreach events.

Assisted park staff with the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park sea turtle nest monitoring program. Document crawls and nests, and mark and protect sea turtle nests. Monitor and evaluate nests after hatching.

Volunteer. Southeast Environmental Research Center at FIU. Miami, FL. May, 2013-Present
Assisted graduate students with tree island monitoring and water quality sampling in Biscayne Bay. Lab work includes observing bacterial growth efficiencies across a natural nutrient gradient in an oligotrophic estuary.

Assisted environmental consulting clients with research literature database, assisting with document production, inputting data acquired from our fieldwork, helping field crews with mobilization and demobilization tasks, field equipment maintenance, and other tasks as necessary.
